Our mission is to educate the Black community on financial literacy, produce more successful Black entrepreneurs, and unite Black investors together to invest in profitable opportunities that will reverse gentrification, provide affordable housing, create jobs, and generate wealth for generations to come.
Ms. Shanta Lana Hereford is a mother of four, social entrepreneur, visionary, Global Goodwill Ambassador and an advocate for Black wealth and empowerment.
She is the President and CEO of Building Bridges Global Investment Group, Inc. an investment company that started to help Black investors unite and create wealth to bridge the racial wealth gap.
Ms. Hereford is also the Founder and CEO of The Star Factor Effect, an award-winning business development agency helping entrepreneurs worldwide to start, scale, or transform their business for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
In 2017, she launched the Center for Truth and Healing, a nonprofit organized to provide food outreach, transportation, housing assistance, job skills training, holiday assistance, and more. CFTH has provided assistance to clients in Atlanta, GA; Beloit WI; Port Au Prince, Haiti; Wuhan, China; and Lagos, Nigeria.
In 2018 and 2019, Ms. Hereford was voted Stone Mountain’s Small Business Person of the Year. It was also during this time that she was appointed as a Global Goodwill Ambassador for the United States.
Ms. Hereford is a pillar in her community and serves as the Chair of the Public Events and Tactical Urbanism subcommittee for the Memorial Drive Revitalization Project.
Mrs. Kathy McKinstry is the Vice President and CFO of Building Bridges Global Investment Group, Inc. (BBGIG). She is a widowed mother of two, a retired marine, and a social entrepreneur. Her career spans over 20 years with education and experience in financial management, corporate strategy, and business leadership.
As CFO, Mrs. McKinstry contributes strong management, organizational, and analytical skills. She is responsible for managing the company’s financial functions including auditing, bookkeeping, corporate finance, and investor relations. She also spearheads all Human Resource activities.
Mrs. McKinstry is a strong believer in the power of constructive thinking and likes to focus on sustainable development, strategic implementation, politics, and finance. During her tenure in both the public and private sectors, Kathy also gained experience in negotiation, project management, communication, conflict resolution, delegation, and more.
She is deeply passionate about educating the Black community on finances and creating opportunities that build residual and generational wealth.
In her spare time, she enjoys binge-watching Netflix and exercising. Mrs. McKinstry is an image of strength and endurance and doesn’t let boundaries get in her way!
